SMARTORG Appoints Operations Management Research as UK Representative

Menlo Park, CA, March 15, 2004

SmartOrg is pleased to announce the appointment of Operations Management Research Limited as the UK representative for SmartOrg Enterprise Decision Systems.

“Operations Management Research,” says SmartOrg Sales and Marketing Vice President, Don Creswell, “is uniquely qualified to represent our company to the R&D and New Product Development community in the UK. They combine extensive knowledge of product development best practices with proven implementation skills and, thus, are well positioned to help our prospects and customers as they seek to improve the value of R&D and NPD projects and portfolios.”

Operations Management Research was founded in February 2003 by Stephen Todd, a former Principal with Pittiglio Rabin Todd & McGrath (PRTM) and former R&D Business Development Manager at Hewlett-Packard. Operations Management Research is a founding member of the Implementation Support Network (ISN), a network of European implementation consulting firms all of whom specialize in working with technology-based companies. ISN was set up to provide companies wanting to achieve breakthrough results with a practical alternative to traditional consulting firms. ISN has consultants and associate companies in England, Finland, Germany, Ireland, and Scotland.

Operations Management Research will serve customers in the UK from their base in Oxford, England. They can be contacted by phone at +44 1865 811117 or by e-mail at stephen.todd@omr.org.uk.

SmartOrg workshops, software systems and capability-building programs optimize return on investment in R&D and NPD by guiding management decisions about “where and how much to invest” in projects and portfolios.

Stephen Todd, OMR’s Director, said, “SmartOrg’s Decision Advisor® and Portfolio Navigator™ are unique.  They are the only tools that allow program managers and portfolio managers to identify, understand, and manage the uncertainty associated with product development projects.  They enable managers and teams to take informed decisions that reduce risk and increase company value across the complete portfolio.”
